My disk dissapeared

Hello,
I have an external, 2.5'' toshiba HDD. Everything was fine, I use it for like two months, bought new. Recently, when I connect it somewhere else, a message pops up in systray asking if I want to safely remove mass storage device. In my laptop I can see the drive in device manager, but not in my computer. I have lots of data on that disk which I don't want to lose. Please help anybody.
