Operating system not found.........

Hello,
my hcl laptop is havin a problem firstly it was showing os not found then when i started booting it with pendrive as my cd drive is also not working as told in ur forum : how to boot laptop from pendrive it starts booting but suddenly a stop error screen occurs and the system hangs...... it nor even shutdown by pressing the power button.

what to do??
