Set up wareless free conection

Hello,
how do i set my laptop wireless free? i got my moden yesterday i put the cd in and the cabel /yellow/ put in to the computer....... now i have my internet but with out the cabel dosn't work was trying to set up wirlees free but not luck. just wanna usk somebody any idea for that i just wanna sit in my bed and not having any cables around;) thank you

Does your modem have built-in wireless? If not then you will need to buy a wireless router and attach it to the modem.
