My computer logs on then off

I inadvertently locked myself out of my computer by fiddling with the user account and i am the administrator - i really don't know what has happened but i log on then the computer automatically logs me off - can anyone help as i really can't afford to call someone in to fix this - thanks

try system restore from the safe mode
