i have a compaq 2200 presario and the screen wont come on, fan wont come on but the power light is on...please give me suggestions as to what to do...thanks

It could be:
1. bad power supply (insufficient power to run the laptop)
2. bad power plug in the laptop (try to wiggle it around)
3. broken motherboard
