trouble with acer aspireClosed

Hello, 

I have an acer aspire that won't boot up.  when I power on, I get windows error recovery screen.  the launch error recovery functions doesn't help.  the machine powers off, then on agin but the windows error recovery screen pops back up. this happens several times and then the machine just shuts off. what do I do?

Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.6.3
