Laptop stays dark Closed

Hello, 

I have a HP dv 1000. When I turn the power on, the lights around the key board turn on but the monitor doesn't come on, the CD rom] door will not open and the laptop isn't making any noise at all, does any one have any clue?

Hi,

Few options to troubleshooting your laptop:

1st: Remove you laptop's battery and power adapter for 15-30 seconds then put back and power on your laptop. (Could be due to laptop sleep, unable to resume)

2nd: If you hear 3 beep sounds while you power on your laptop, then resit your laptop's memory and try to power on again. (Could be your memory faulty. And please make sure you remove battery and power adapter before remove the memory)

3rd: If above options was unsuccessful, then it could be your laptop's mainboard problem. If could be a processor problem but normally processor hardly get faulty. (Please send it for repair & get ready for the quotation from the service provider)

Hope these options can solve your problems.
