Hello, i have an old laptop compaq evo N110 and i have been told i need a new battery and can't get one for it at all. I have taken battery out it still works and can get internet i have a usb adapter in which is flashing, would i beable to use wireless with out putting leads in back of laptop.

If it is a usb wireless adaptor and the drivers are installed I cant see why not.
