Sony vaio k series dvd drive problem

Hello, When I put a dvd into my dvd drive to install a program, my whole computer freezes. When I go to eject the dvd it resets my computer. Is there an easy solution?

The device should be faulty and hence you should have it replaced for solving the problem.
