Older dvd rom not working and newer one also

Hello,

I recently bought two new dvd roms for my machine as I was thinking that the problem was with the two other ones which weren't working but after plugging the new ones I realized that the problem wasn't with the older dvd roms as the new ones also aren't working.
Then whats the problem with the pc?

Hi,
I rather think that the problem is coming from the ide cable if they are ide devices but if they are sata devices then it's the sata cables which are faulty and just try to change the cable and see what happens? If its still not good the the problem is coming from your motherboard.
