Dell inspiron 1545 (laptop) Black screen,

Hello,

I was on my dell inspiron laptop earlier this evening, when the power cord fell out whilst in use.

When i came to set up my PC again it wouldn't let me past the dell logo screen, a white curser in the top left of the laptop flashes then dissapears.

can anyone help me?

op system is windows vista.
