No audio device is installed

2 days ago my pc played sound and everything was perfect then it froze so i restarted then i got the "no audio output device is installed" and the "sound , video and game controllers " option in device manager is gone and there is no unknown devices listed
and i have tried all the latest drivers
OS : windows 7 ultimate 64 bit
mobo : ep31 ds3l rev 1.0
video card : asus geforce 9800 gt
processor : core 2 duo E4600 2.4 GHZ

plz help i just got that new graphics card and i can't enjoy my games

Hello,

If you are using the graphics card then go to BIOS and disable the Onboard VGA.

Install the audio drivers from the motherboard cd or you can download it from

the manufacture website.

Also install the graphic card drivers from the driver cd .

i don't have an onboard VGA and i have tried installing the latest audio drivers from gigabyte AND realtec
