Inspiron mini shuts down by external dvd play

Hello,

I purchased a brand new inspiron mini laptop and an external dvd player from dell manufactirers. Everytime i try to play a dvd it shuts the laptop off, i disconnect the external dvd player and the laptop starts up from scratch. Its very frustrating as i cannot return anything and dall said it sounds like a software problem and i have to pay for even talking to someone. Please help me.

Dear Sir,

Please consider getting to your IDE settings and set it as the main booting device and hence see whether it works correctly.

Hello,

I was wondering my brother-in-law just had a wedding and it was video taped. I took the memory card from the camcorder and put it on my computer then put them on the DVD-R.

The DVD-R won't play as a DVD but will play on my computer. Also it won't play in my DVD player or PlayStation. I have burned movies on DVD-R's and they play fine but the wedding stuff won't play.

Please help me out!

Hello,i installed and registered GTA San Andreas II, but when I double click the game then an error was occuring"Wrong disc inserted, please insert the CD/DVD"And I had inserted the correct DVD.What should I do?

Hello,

I noticed my CD/DVD drive was missing in my file explorer so I went searching for some online help I tried uninstalling the drives as advised online and clearing the registry as instructed earlier in Matt's page regarding jacko468's similar issue in here but the problem wasn't solved I still cant find my CD/DVD ROM driver on my windows 10 hp laptop. Please HELP

Hello folks,
I don't know how does it start,actually..
I use PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-217..My pc hasn't been a year..
It's unable to write any DVD,and maybe CD too..
I check in divice manager..and it says:
Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)
if uninstall and reinstall the device can fix this problem??

Toshiba HDD blue light stays on not blinking and it goes off

Pls my Toshiba 1TB external hard drive the blue light stays for a while and goes off but the drive still spins pls can anyone help cos I have some important docs on it pls
