Win xp sp3 boot disk not working

Hello,
i have built a pc and trying to boot it with windows-xp-sp3-service-pack xp sp3] like the motherboard] said i keep getting reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media both my cdrom and hard drives use sata is that a problem or something else it will not boot up!!!

Hi there,

Are all the devices and cables properly connected to motherboard?please check and revert back also get in bios and load default settings.

yes all cable an hardwre connected they show up in the bios screen sata1 is my hard drive and sata 2 is cd rom just to test i put a win 98 se in it and i actually get the microsoft boot screen but it gives me an error device driver not found oemcd001
