Number key isn't working

Hello, the number four (and dollar sign) key on my MAC OS X/ Firefox 3.5 11 config won't work. Any suggestions without having to buy an new keyboard? Thanks, in advance.

Dear Sir,

There might be some troubles sourcing from its circuit board hence causing the problem. Please consider sending it to a Repair Shop for getting fixed.
