USB port storage not workingSolved/Closed

Question

Hello everybody, 

I have a strength problem with my USB port, its totally not work. 

I try to change "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\UsbStor" 

"Start=3" 

But an error message appears: 

"Error Editing Value 
--------------------------- 
Cannot edit Start: Error writing the value's new contents. 
--------------------------- 
OK" 

I also give permissions full control to these files "UsbStor.pnf" 

And I create new key in the registry: 

"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies" 

"WriteProtect=1" 

All of that doesn't solve the problem. 

Please, I really need your help.

Hello everybody,

Finally, I got the solution.

start\run\regedit:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\USBSTOR

right-click on USBSTOR permissions - advanced - add - 
Enter the object name "select a logged-on user"
Allow Full Control
OK

Now try to change:

"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\UsbStor" "Start=3"

This trick of yours doesn't seem to work.

Wen I try to add a logged in user it gives an error 'Unable to save permission changes to USBSTOR. Access is denied'



Please help me find a solution.
