Microsoft Keyboard eats Batteries!

Hello,
ANy ideas why my MS wireless Keyboard is discharging all the batteries I keep feeding into it every couple of weeks. When the PcC is switched off the light on thekeyboard stays on?
The Keyboard is the Wireless Laser Keyboard 5000
Plz help.

Hi there,

When not in use you must switch the device as till the radio is active it consumes power.
