I already connect my LAN connection but have error message 'invalid cd key'.

That means that the CDkey you register the game with is invalid for network play!

I suggest you check the game's website, as no matter who answers it, the answers are going to come from the game's website.

If you are trying to connect using CS 1.6 you have to run the half-life dedicated server and configure with no.of.players and the map..then you need to run the game file (cs.exe) and connect to the dedicated server which is running and now you can ask your friends to join.. it works fine for us.
