Hello,
I just bought an Asus N61JQ-X1 laptop and immediately proceeded to remove the bloatware using PCdecrapifier. Everything works great except for the volume function buttons on the keyboard which dont work at all (other function buttons such as brightness DO work). Also the volume buttons above the keyboard, on the Altec Lansing speakers dont work. The volume control on the windows taskbar DOES work and the speakers themselves function fine.

I'm wondering if I may have accidentally removed something thats needed for these buttons to work?

Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

Dear Sir,

The problem that you are facing might be coming from the fact that the its circuit board has some troubles or the application that you are using is not synchronized with the keys. Please confirm the matter.

Thanks.

i did a system restore and it turns out I did remove something essential.. the ATK Hotkey and ATKOSD2 seems to be necessary for the volume function buttons...

Thanks anyway!
