Yes mate you can order the recovery disk from official Hp website or you can press
esc on booting system ,then press on F11 key to have it done without the recovery disk,when completed you can create new recovery disk,this is possible only when the recovery partition is still present on machine:

You can again make the cd, provided the recovery image is still present When you make first set, it leave footprint behind. Delete those file. I did for my DV7 (forgot the model)
