It depends upon type of data in web page. Is it in a table form or running matter.
If you are going download in excel I presume you need a table to be downloaded into excel
In excel sheet you click date-import external data=new web query. it will open a new web query window. in the address type or copy the web page address and hit "go" (next to the address). the webpage will open and normally each table will have a yellow cross mark and if you click the mark in the required table it will turn into a tick. then you can click "import" at the bottom right. it will ask the cell where you want to download and choose it and hit ok. the table in webpage will be downloaded into excel.
After some practice and trial and error you will get the hang of it.
