I have trouble with new upgrade of Itunes, after uninstalling and installing it , I realized it wasn't uninstalling Quick time player. After uninstalling itunes, and quick time. the ugrade download worked. No changing of anything. The other answers I saw was so convoluted wasn't worth trying. Try this.
