Xp input monitor is greyed out no mic Closed

Hello,  

can you help me pls get the Mic working again 
Sound is good the input monitor is greyed out 
pc does not seem to recognise the mic 
? 



Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.5.11

Please get to your Device Manager and have its drivers updated and also confirm whether it is not damaged by connecting to another device.
