Getting no signal after connecting hdmi cable

Hi,
I have a dell laptop and i connected to my sony bravia 42"tv throu hdmi cable.It worked well for the past 8 months,and now suddenly it gives the message as no signal.I'm not sure whether i changed some display settings.i used the fn key and f8 to send signal to tv,but nothing works.could anyone please help me..

hi
listen check if your hdmi laptop port is ok.
if you have windows seven press start and p.
otherwise go to desktop right click properies and then locate screen.
