Hello,
I have this older Toshiba A205-S5000 laptop which crashed a while back, and I haven't had the heart to accept that and part with it. I found the "recovery and applications / drivers" disc(s) that came with it and when attempting to "install" them, it doesn't seem to work. A few prompts come once in a great while, and then it gets to a point where I'm supposed to choose an OS to repair; however, there are none listed to choose from. Any help on what to do at this point??? Thanks so much! (Is it hopeless??)
Claudia

Hi there,

Boot from the recovery disk and choose recover to factory default then when prompted insert next disk and let it be processed.

Thanks

if the os cannot be found you could try using hirens boot cd and rebuild the mbr(master boot record)
