Problems with laptop batteries Solved/Closed

Hey there,
I thinking about purchasing a new laptop but a friend of mine told me that these apparatus have a big problem with their batteries and have to be regularly changed but the only thing is that they are quite expensive. Anyone can give me some clues about this saying?

Their time durability is about 2 or 3 years and their cycle durability is about 1200 cycles.

As far as the prices are concerned, look at a battery seller website for example :

You can see that the prices are about 100$, sometimes less, sometimes more.
