Downloading adobe 10 it won't stop downloadin

Hello,
I downloaded adobe 10 from their site. AND IT HAS BEEN DOWNLOADING FOR WELL OVER 48 HOURS!!! I've called and called MICROSoft only to be kept on hold and never got through! HOW CAN I STOP THIS DOWNLOADING?!!!

Hi, thanks so much for your time and your suggestion I will try to do that but it is still "DOWNLOADING THE LATEST APPLICATION" since SUNDAY 8/22/10 now.So, I would think i should STOP that first; am I right? But how?
