4 lines running down the screen

Hello,

i have these lines running down vertically on my laptop screen
my laptop is toshiba equium a210
can anyone help please..

I suspect you have a hardware failure. I the lines remain when you use an external monitor then the problem is with the video chip/card otherwise it's with the LCD screen.
