Toshiba laptop satelite U400 black screen

Hello,
My toshiba laptop satelite U400 doesn't want to start up.The screen is black I can hear the voice of start up but screen is still black.I tried to power off then on again nothing-i removed the battery then pressed the power button then repeated the process to power on again still nothing.I can't see the screen to log in.I tried to press F8 Button but nothing I can't even reboot my laptop.Please help!!
