Cd Rom will not work Closed

Question

Hello, 

My dvd/cdrom will not read discs when i insert a disc it just blinks for a few seconds then doesnt do anything else and the icon wont pop up in the my computer, there isnt a dvd/cd rom notch in the device manager i cant find that i have one anywhere any ideas?

Configuration: Windows Vista / Internet Explorer 7.0

Hello mate,

If using a desktop pc then open cpu and change ide/sata cable for the dvd drive and restart system else you can also use the instructions from Faq for your actual issue:
