Acer laptop monitor broken ..

Hello,

I have an acer aspire and the monitor is broken. I connected an external monitor to it, did a system restore with CD and when the prompt went to shut down computer to restart, the screen flipped back to the monitor on laptop. The system restore is not complete but can not read what to prompt on the broken monitor .. How do i flip the screen back to the external monitor to finish the restore?

Hello,

Try this 1.

Use the proper combination keys(like Fn+F5/ the function key that's having the

monitor symbol on it) to toggle between your laptop screen and the external

monitor.

I did that .. It's like none of the keys will work while it's in the mode it's in. I can't even see (use) the touchpad and see the cursor .. ;(
