Restoring contents from deleted profile?

Hello,

I recently had a problem on my Windows 7 HP desktop with which the message was
"The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded." I followed one of the many available online tutorials in order to try and fix this corrupted profile. In deleting my previous profile and creating a new one, all of the documents, photos and general media was seemingly deleted. However there is the same amount of memory as before. Is there a way to restore this media?
