Partition how to dual boot

Hello,

i have windows 7 in c partion with and d is all empty,i wanted windows xp to run al well (dual boot) but now only windows xp is starting....can you suggest how to dual boot ....with any software from xp itself..because i think my dvd rom is also not working properly....plz help!!
