Cant connect to internet?

Hello,

I have a HP pavilion dv7-1245dx and im having problems geting it to connect to the internet. It was successfully connected to the wirless router and the signal reads strong, but when i go on the internet it just says cant open up web page. So then i check network settings and theres an X between my rotuer and the Globe. I had geek squad look at it over in best-buy and they said they couldent fix the problem! i dont know what else to do? please help! i just purchased in 09 and it has very low hours on it! please, need help!
