How to use brodband connection without the da

Hello,
hi my name is mona. And i hav been using broadband for the past 1 yr. My problem is that i had brought dis modem so that i could use the landline and the internet at the same time but now i jus want to use the internet keeping d landline busy...but how can i connect it to the comp without the modem...coz wen i try it shows no connection.....plz help...
