How to get command prompt if computer crashs

Hello,
Help needed desperately...My kids computer crashed and am trying to fix myself. How do I get to command prompt to type if the computer has crashed. I tried through safe mode, but a whole list spits out that says things like driver.....such and such. then it just goes to blue screen with message. I think my daughter tried to install program and cut it off as she didin't want it anymore...something like that. Please help!

I found the command prompt, now what do I type in to fix my problem....Its windows XP

Hy.

You hould remove newly installed devices that have no correct driver in that system, then you should start the pc normally if you can, and you can get the command promt by pressind Windows button and R letter button simultaneously. I hope you will get a better version of that xp, and please after sytem install do not connect your pc to the internet as soon as you can, be careful. Have a nice day and ask wiser and cleaner next time.
