im using windows 7 and now google chrome as i have been having constant trojans/virus at first with firefox, when i did a scan it said it was sunjava. It removed the trojan but my laptop was still playing up so i reformatted and started using google chrome, i have since had a trojan called kazy.

When i go onto a page it changes to an ip address then it scans 'My Computer' and says i have trojans/virus and gets me to try and save a file. Emisoft did find a virus and told me it was kazy, but even though it deleted it etc and my Pc Guard quarantined it also its still there. I downloaded malware bytes but that come up with an error and wont update. so i cant use that.

What can i do, as it seems as though even when i reformat im still getting trojans etc, just wondering if its through windows updates also or whether or not its some bookmarks ive used through google chrome

if you want to know how to use hijackthis i will post a link in for you to look at how to remove the items ok. look at this link to how to use it ok and what to do with it ok.

https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/how-to-use-hijackthis/

to remove these please tick the little box that's next to them until you get a black tick and then to remove them press the button that say's (Fix Checked)

Then please download Malwarebytes.

Please, DO NOT REBOOT your computer or the processes will come back to haunt you!

Download to your desktop Malwarebyte.

https://ccm.net/downloads/security-and-maintenance/4621-malwarebytes-anti-malware/

Once on your desktop, we must still outwit the virus.

please rename it to Kioskea.exe so the Trojans or viruses can't stop it from updating or scanning

Install Malwarebyte and launch it. From the second tab, update it.

Pretty please, request a FULL system scan which should take more than hour. Once the scan is finish, delete all of item that were found.

It is very important that you let Malwarebyte run for as long as it takes, in some cases the creators of Malwarebyte suggest that you go do something like watch a rerun of "Gone with the Wind" or read Tolstoy's "War and Peace".

and report back to me to let me know how your computer is working.

Cheers, Gervarod

P.S. i will be back on in a few hours but don't do anything i wouldn't do.

Hello Gervarod,

You have asked to look after Yvonne while you are catching up on your much needed beauty sleep in Australia. Because Yvonne cannot update Malwarebyte, I suggest that there is an underground process running all the time. Try rkill and then Malwarebyte as if we had a rogue trojan horse.

Before the above, unless Yvonne is using a 64 bit, this entry really worries me:

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = C:\Windows\SysWOW64\blank.htm

SysWOW64 is a definite vicious sign which often must be manually deleted. Yvonne will need to make a search with the search tool for : SysWOW64 and manually delete all references to it. It may be hiding in windows system32. There could be several files with SysWOW64

Good luck

P.S. Excellent analysis job on the Hyjackthis log.

ok then try to use this program and then download malwarebytes to see if you can use malwarebytes ok then.

It's Rkill.
https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/308364/rkill-what-it-does-and-what-it-doesnt-a-brief-introduction-to-the-program/

then redownload malwarebytes but uninstall your old one,

and then rename malwarebytes to Kioskea.exe instead it being the normal name.

and update malwarebytes if it can and then do a full system scan and give us the log file of that please ok then, so we can see what it got rid of then.

Cheers, Gervarod.

P.S. let us know how you went ok...

http://84.124.224.201:11066/index.html?u=395&t=1 that is the page that keeps coming up and says windows security alert and then scan ' My computer ' and asks me to save the file as i have trojans etc i ran rkill again and same error with malwarebytes came up i have contacted malware bytes and they asked me to run traceroute and send them the log he said something is blocking the connection and that is why i cant up date malware bytes he then gave me the link below

Thanks, clearly something is blocking access, perhaps a result of the infection removed.

Please run the steps outlined below:
* Access the router configuration page, and write down any information necessary to authenticate with the ISP. If in doubt, call ISP and ask what is needed in the authentication fields of the router.
* Shut down the computer, and any other computer connected to your router.
* On the back of the router, there should be a small hole or button labeled RESET. Using a bent paper clip or similar item, hold that in continuously for twenty seconds. Unplug the router. Wait sixty seconds. Now holding again the reset button, plug it back in. Continue holding the reset button for twenty seconds. Unplug the router again.
* With the router unplugged, start the computer. Run MBAM again.
* Connect again to the router. Then turn the router back on. When it stabilizes, reboot the workstation and try to access the Internet. If any issues, access the Router configuration page and re-enter the authentication information.
* Reboot the workstation and do a final test.
Also, very important, change the default password on the router.
Also see here:

http://www.geekstogo.com/2008/04/08/have-a-home-router-youll-want-to-read-this/ to read up on and told me this
