Acer Aspire 5315 cd burner problems

Hello, I have an acer aspire 5315 laptop. Just recently The windows media player will not burn a cd, it just says connect a burner to the device and restart. Did I lose a program or something?? Any ideas? Please and thanks.

you lost some of the settings required to burn the cd. you need to upgrade yor system.

reinstall the missing drivers
