Hello,

I have a a PC with Mercury Motherboard P1865d7 and I Have 2 IDE Ports and 2 SATA Ports, all these days I was using IDE HDD 160 GB, now I have a 320 GB SATA Seagate HDD, I connected the HDD to one of the SATA Ports, But I DIDNOT find any SATA Power cable(s) in my Mother board or Powersupply.
I have Power cables which are going into IDE HDDs, DVD Writer, but I dont know how to connect to SATA.
Can some one please help me how should I get this working.
I have Windows 2003 Server OS, once I connected the SATA HDD, but it is not showing any where in the Windows OS or DiskManagement Options.
Do we have any Power cable converters available from IDE power to SATA Power ?
Pls help ASAP

Thanks a ton..,
Sashi

Hello,

SATA Hard disk will be having a different data cable and the power connector.

Click on the below link to see the SATA data cable

http://www.gttkc.com/shop/images/sata-data-90deg.jpg

For power you can get the IDE 4 Pin to SATA Serial ATA HDD Power Cable

Connector

Click on the below link to see SATA power connector

https://www.shopqvs.com/

You can buy the "Sata Data Cable" and "Sata Power Connector" from your

nearest computer shops.

Good Luck.
