Hello,

I recently bought an Acer notebook in France, the MS o/s is in French, I cant change it without an expensice upgrade..cheaper to buy a new notebook....any suggestions please.
If I download Firefox,Android,or Chrome etc would it operate in English or default to the original o/s language.Thanks for your help.

What is the actual O/S Win XP, Vista, Win7?

Why do you believe that you would require an upgrade to change the language?

Have you tried to go to the control panel (panneau de configuration) and change the regional settings (options régionales et linguistiques)? That usually does the trick for most Window users.
