Administrator Accounts for the iMac

Hello,

I have a fairly new iMac I was trying to update my iTunes and the computer told me I needed an administrator and password. The computer doesn't have one and doesn't allow me to make one without an administrator and password. It's a never ending cycle. PLEASE HELP.

You are logged on a User account, please log into an administrator account.

Please read the question again and explain how he can stop logging in as a user and log in as administrator.
