Often IE has problems with add-on programs. You can disable these and try again. Go to START - CONTROL PANEL - Internet options - programs - manage add-ons and delete any strange ones you find. you can also go to the ADVANCED tab and try "reset internet explorer settings" if the 1st suggestion doesn't work.
