Music from latop through Sony HDMI speakers? Closed

Hello, 

I'm wondering if I can somehow hook my Dell laptop up to my Sony HDMI speaker system that is currently used for my home theater system, so that I can listen to music through my laptop. Does anyone know if this is possible? I was going to buy speakers for my laptop but want to make sure I can't make this work first.
