Lost my internet access

Hello,

I have 2 laptops a ps3 and other devices that could all access internet pages on the 24/12 I updated windows xp to service pack 3 on main laptop and since then I have not been able to access any web pages yet ever other device still can. I have uninstalled pack but this has not worked I have also tried to re start laptop from previous saved point but have not been able to do this. I do not know how to solve this as I am not that computer literate and would appreciate any help in simle terminology
