Hello,
I have a new SATA harddrive and the relevant kit to connect it to an IDE/ATA motherboard, my present harddrive is worn out and I don't want to transfer any data to the new h/drive. The only other thing I need is a SATA Controller Drivers floppy disc. Where can I get one from, please?
I have read several pieces regarding achieving this without using the floppy disc but it all seems much too complicated for a mere novice like me!
Thankyou.

If you have a ide to sata converter then I doubt you need a SATA driver. If you needed one it would have come with the converter. If you have an "in-line" SATA converter it is made to be transparent to the motherboard's IDE controller.

You can just hook-up the drive and see if it works.

Good Luck
