Memory detection and password problem

Hello,
i have a memory card which i'm using it for a i pod i loaded some songs in it when i connect it to i pod songs cannot be played and after that i connected it to the system via i pod then it asks for a password] and when connected through a card reader then the system doesn't detect any memory card
please help me......
