Dear poor Doctor R.S.

I trust that you realise that the reason your pen is overheating is because it keeps on working trying to get recognized, hence it is corrupted.

This may work but again it may not but it's the only possible solution to your problem.

Download and install this free tool:

https://ccm.net/downloads/security-and-maintenance/5003-recuva/

Connect the pen and run a full scan with recuva.

If you are not successfull, you may get your anger out on the pendrive by biting it hard several times or beat it with a hammer.

Good luck

Sorry, I forgot, before you proceed with Recuva,

Please, plug the pen, download and run:

http://ccm.net/download/download-24089-usbfix

The download is in French but once downloaded the tool will be in English.

Select delete to remove any possible infection

It may just be able to repair the pen.
