So I decided to clean my asus, because it was overheating (model is 1201n) I cleaned it and everything was ok. From 80C it went to 60C. But then I saw that it only reads 1.75GB ram,so I shut the computer down and forgot to remove battery(damn me!!!) So I tried to pull one stick so my computer could see 4GB,I was pulling with a screwdriver, and then I saw a reaction(I don't that what is that word in english, but it is some kind of electric thing,) And after that I can only power on my computer by holding power button and don't realising it,but my screen doesn't lit up,it doesn't show anything. Sorry for my english. Please somebody help me
I am really guys counting on you. If you didn't understand anything feel free to ask. I really need your help. Is my motherboard dead,or not? hmm

Hello,

Try this 1.

If you notice that your CPU fan is running but there is no display on the screen,

then remove the RAM from the slot, clean it and place it back properly or try

another slot. Check your RAM also. Even bad RAM will result in display problem.

Good Luck.

Hello Nipit,

My good friend Jack4all may agree with me.

You know that little electric spark you saw, well that is called static electricity, just one little spark is enough to destroy your ram stick.

At this point, I suggest you replace that stick.

Regards

Hello,
Try this 1
Remove all the RAM's from the motherboard and try placing one RAM in the slot and then switching ON your CPU. If the problem still exists then place the RAM in another slot.
Try the above process with each RAM.
You had mentioned some reaction like electric short circuit was seen. Check your motherboard if there is any component that got damaged. If you have seen that particular reaction in the RAM slot then may be that slot got damaged.
Good Luck

Hello,
Check your motherboard clearly. Check the place where you have noticed the reaction. Check your RAM also as said by my friend Ambucias. Check if you can see any burned mark or the golden pins getting detached. Check your RAM slot. If you notice any burned mark on the memory slot then that slot is useless. Try placing the working RAM in different slots and check whether you are able to get the display on the screen or not.
Good Luck

Hello, just as a conclusion to my friend Jack4all's wise suggestion. When you go into your computer belly, ensure that you are not on any carpeted areas, to not use metal tools or anything that is susceptible of generating static electricity. To clean the computer, only compressed air should be used, no vacuum cleaner nor brushes of any kind.
Good luck

No,that didn't help me. I can't see any burned place, but I can see something very similair to the pen's gel,but I don't really sure that it is because of that problem. When I start my PC I can hear that my HDD is working, but my netbook has an integrated video card, and it doesn't seem to run. Problem isn't solve. Can anyone please help me? :/
