Hi i have an acer aspire 5517 & it's turn on?

Hello, my name is Jonathan and I got this acer aspire 5517 that are turn on .
i power to the laptop & when I press the power button. I can hear the hdd, cd-rom, and the fan running, but the fan runs for a 3 to 5 sec. and it stop. and the power switch light is on and nothing else is on. please could anyone help me?

Hello Jonny,
Had you mentioned that the fan kept on running I could have found a solution. The fact that it's stopping after a few seconds indicates a serious physical circuit issue that only a in the flesh qualified technician can repair.
Unfortutely, the forum does not have direct interactive capabilities to see inside your laptop and show you how.
