Hello,
Try this 1
Follow the instructions step by step and check if your able to see your external
drive in "My Computer"
1) First try connecting to different ports.
2) Click on Start --> Run --> Type devmgmt.msc and press Enter.
"Device Manager" will be opened. If you notice any yellow mark then
right-click on it --> Select "Update" and follow the instructions.
3) May be OS failed to assign a drive letter to your external drive. Try assigning
the drive letter to your external drive. Follow the below instructions
Click on Start --> Run ---> type diskmgmt.msc and click on OK.
[ Check if you can open your external drive by right-clicking on it --> Select the
option "Explore" --> Backup your important data ]
In Disk Management, if you notice your external drive without any drive letter
then
Right-click on your External Drive --> Select "Change Drive Letter and Paths..." -->
Click on "Add" button ---> Select your drive letter and click on OK.
4) If the problem still exist then
Click on Start --> Run --> Type regedt32 and click on OK.
First backup your registry by going to "File --> Export".
At the left side navigate to this location
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E967-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
If you see any upperfilter or lowerfilters at the right side delete it.

Thanks for your valuable input.
I tried all the instructions as per procedure but unsuccessful, now Im hearing some crackling noises in the drive now.
Pls advise me is there any software available to retrieve my data.

Open the command prompt and type the below commands
set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1 --> Press Enter
cd\ ---> Press Enter
cd windows\system32 --> Press Enter
start devmgmt.msc --> Press Enter
"Device Manager" window will be opened.
Now in the device manager, click on "View" --> Select "Show hidden devices"
Now expand all the nodes by clicking on "+" symbol. If you find any greyed
entries --> Right click on it --> Select "Uninstall".
Restart your PC and connect your external drive.
Good Luck

If the problem still exist then disconnect your external drive.
Click on Start --> Run --> Type services.msc and press Enter. At the right-side look for the
services related to the Seagate. Double-click on that service --> Set startup type as "Automatic" from the drop-down menu --> Click on "Start", if the service is not started.
Now try connecting your external drive.
If the problem still exists then remove the seagate manager application and reinstall it.
Also check if its able to detect your external hard drive without seagate manager application installed.
